Missions
The SATT's main mission is to accelerate the process of technology transfer from research institutions in its territory to the business world.
This mission is carried out either on the basis of inventions proposed by researchers or on the basis of the needs expressed by companies.
First case
• identifying inventions developed in research laboratories and protecting the associated intellectual property
• assessing their economic potential and inventiveness
• maturing these inventions to make them applicable in an economic environment leading to innovations, where appropriate by sharing the investment with a company (in "co-maturation")
• and finally, the transfer of these innovations to existing economic players (via licenses) or emerging ones (via support for business creation).
Second case
The SATT first collects information on a company's needs, then identifies a research laboratory with an invention that meets those needs. The invention is then developed through a joint development process, followed by the transfer of the innovation to the company.
SATT also supports research institutions in its territory by offering them a range of services designed to facilitate the promotion of research by research teams within these institutions.
