"Promoting research to boost innovation in the Transport-Mobility sector"
- Context and Objectives of the Call for Expressions of Interest in Transportation and Mobility
Building on their strategic partnership signed in 2018, and as winners of the "Acceleration of SATTs" call for projects, SATT Sayens, Conectus, and SATT Nord launched a joint action program in 2022 called "Innovating in the Northeast,"which aims to:
- boost innovation and the impact of disruptive technologies resulting from public research in their region on businesses in the greater northeast of France,
- amplify and accelerate the creation of deep tech startups in their territories.
In line with regional and national strategic areas of excellence, and based on an analysis of the academic and industrial potential and needs of their territories, they have identified three strategic priority areas, including Transport and Mobility. They therefore intend to strengthen their actions in the Transport and Mobility sector through the following segments:
- Batteries for electric vehicles,
- Hydrogen for energy systems,
- Recycling of vehicles and batteries.
In this context, SATTs wish to launch a Call for Expressions of Interest dedicated to supporting innovation in the Transport-Mobility sector, aiming to:
- Develop technology transfer and innovation in the transport and mobility sector, a sector with significant strategic technological, economic, environmental, territorial, and human challenges.
- Identify academic projects and teams that can provide innovative responses to the challenges and needs of the Transport-Mobility sector, with priority given—where possible—to regional companies.
- Mobilize and demonstrate the complementary nature of a network of skills, expertise, and resources within SATTs and their partners that can provide continuous funding and local support for public research and businesses.
- Maximizing the impact of this network in the Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions (SATTs' scope of action),
- Highlighting potential and achievements in terms of innovation related to the Transport-Mobility sector.
