Technology transfer is a process that involves taking research results and transforming them into an offering (technological building block, product, know-how) that can be exploited by a company or any other type of player in the socio-economic markets.

 

A team is on hand to support you through the various stages of your project.

Pre-investment

Clearly, the results you have presented deserve to be analyzed in greater detail, and may even warrant investment.
This phase will determine whether your invention can be protected and meets expectations and needs in the socio-economic environment (businesses, associations, local authorities, the general public, etc.), and therefore whether it meets all the criteria for investment in development.


SATT Nord will mobilize internal and external resources to accurately assess the commercial potential of your invention. This will increase its economic value. It will be evaluated based on market feedback, competitive analysis, studies of existing technologies, patentability analysis, and technical and regulatory expertise. The next step will be to increase its attractiveness to companies. This will result in the most appropriate commercialization strategy to make your project more attractive to companies. If all conditions are met, the project may be presented to the SATT Nord investment committee.

 

Maturation

The project that the SATT Nord team has developed with you has been approved by the investment committee and the board of directors.
Under the coordination of the project manager, the results of your research will now evolve from proof of concept to transfer-ready technology by following the steps of the development program.
Beyond a budget consistent with the objectives set, our investment will enable us to recruit technical staff, finance laboratory experiments, and call on service providers, consultants, and SATT Nord experts for IP, legal, and business development support.

Thanks to our geographical proximity, you will be in frequent contact with the SATT Nord project manager to monitor the maturation process. In addition, you will be responsible for the technical progress of the project and the scientific supervision of the SATT Nord maturation staff. The success of the maturation process will therefore depend heavily on your interaction with the project manager.

The end of the technological maturation phase in the laboratory does not mark the end of your project at SATT Nord! The next stage of the adventure is a phase entirely dedicated to transfer, which will conclude the prospecting that began at the start of the project. Prospecting, negotiations, and knowledge transfer will be the key words for the rest of your project
