The SHS VALO Days in Hauts-de-France are an annual regional event bringing together the academic world and socio-economic actors (companies, local authorities, associations) to reflect on the impacts of research in the social sciences and humanities.
Supported since their inception in 2018 by the Hauts-de-France Regional Council, these scientific and professional meetings provide an opportunity to exchange practices, forge links, and develop rewarding partnerships.
The 2022 editionoffers two days (October 6 and 7 â Amiens) devoted to the presentation of projects based on particularly fruitful collaborations: grouped around major current themes, researchers will testify to the diversity of forms that partnerships with the socio-economic world can take and the strong potential for societal innovation offered by research in the social sciences and humanities. A more technical half-day session (October 11 â Lille) will present the regional tools and mechanisms available to researchers in the social sciences and humanities to promote the societal and economic value of their results.
Several topics will be addressed this year: vulnerabilities in the health sector (addictions, health crises), social violence, artificial intelligence and its impact on the social sciences and humanities and society, and issues related to copyright and intellectual property.
This event is supported by the Hauts-de-France Regional Council as part of theSVI SHS 2022-2024 cooperation protocol.
