- It includes a single-use cassette that contains the optical fiber and the insertion needle
- It features a battery-powered laser controlled by a microprocessor.
- It allows an optical fiber to be inserted into the tumor
- It is intended for breast tumors that are 1 cm or smaller in diameter
- Once the fiber is inserted, the tumor can be treated using interstitial laser thermotherapy.
- The laser treatment takes less than 3 minutes.
