Workshops on intellectual property management (patents and licensing) as part of the PEARL program (Program for Early-stage Researchers in Lille).

On Friday, January 21, the SATT Nord teams organized an intellectual property management workshop for first-year doctoral students.

This workshop is in response to a training service contract launched by the ISite Foundation, to which SATT responded in December 2019 with a proposal to organize a workshop on intellectual property management.

This training program is intended for approximately thirtyfirst -year doctoral students with an international background.

The main objective of this training module is to understand the challenges of commercialization and become familiar with the concepts of intellectual property.

The training is scheduled over 2 days:

  • 1 day on the fundamentals of intellectual property , aimed at familiarizing participants with the concepts of intellectual property, copyright, patents, and trademarks (legal framework)
  • Half-day session on raising awareness of the value of public research , which aims to present the main stages of research promotion: from the declaration of invention to technology transfer.
  • Half a day of applying the knowledge acquired in the previous modules with practical case studies in order to implement the various concepts learned in the previous modules.
