The SpiderMass device, based on the combination of laser ablation and mass spectrometry techniques, provides real-time in vivo diagnosis enabling guided cancer surgery.

Since 2016, the SpiderMass project has been part of a €536,000 maturation program run by SATT Nord. The project was a finalist for the ALTRAN International Innovation Award (2014) and was named "Best Breakthrough Innovation" by the Matwin board in 2015.

The project is also funded to the tune of €388k by the ANR in the "Medical Innovation" category.

The project is supported by Siric Oncolille and was the winner of the 2015 call for projects as part of the 2014-2019 cancer plan.
