Project Manager for Medical Device Innovation

Job description

Reporting to the Health Operations Manager, you will join a team of seven people and be responsible for a portfolio of technological innovation projects. On a daily basis, you’ll work with multidisciplinary teams consisting of an intellectual property engineer, a legal counsel, and a business developer. For projects involving the creation of a spin-off, you’ll also work with our spin-off project manager.

As the primary point of contact for researchers and a project manager, you will be responsible for:

    • Identifying and sourcing potential technological innovations through your relationships with researchers at the research units within the SATT Nord network.           
    • Setting up technological innovation projects. You will assemble the project team that will help you develop the schedule, budget, and strategy. You will present your program to the investment committee.
    • Monitoring and managing projects in terms of quality, deadlines, budgets, deliverables, and supervising the scientific staff hired for the projects.
    • You will lead project teams throughout the development process until technology is transferred to a company or startup. You will bring the project teams together and support the Business Developer. You will coordinate internal expertise and external service providers to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Your profile:

  • You hold an advanced degree in the health sciences (Ph.D.) and have experience in academic research.

  • Even if you only have experience as an R&D Project Manager in the healthcare industry, we may still be interested in your profile.

  • You have a strong background in the scientific and regulatory aspects of medical device development.
  • Knowledge of the public research sector and research commercialization would be appreciated. Similarly, knowledge of intellectual property would be a plus.
  • You are known for your communication skills, team spirit, and attention to detail, and you are able to work independently and take the initiative.
  • Finally, proficiency in English is a requirement for this position

The position may involve occasional travel to other regions.

Compensation: based on profile and experience.
