Job description
Reporting to the Intellectual Property Manager, you will join our team (3 people including yourself) and work on a daily basis with several teams dedicated to developing technological innovations and transferring them to private companies.
As part of a project team (comprising a Project Manager, a Lawyer, and a Business Developer), you will contribute your expertise to:

- Conduct prior art searches on innovative concepts identified by SATT NORD within the laboratories within its scope, as well as patentability studies;
- Participate in the development of strategies for protecting research results (patents, software, know-how, etc.);
- Overseeing the filing of patent applications in conjunction with partner intellectual property firms (drafting in French and/or English, filing, monitoring procedures, and analyzing notifications sent by offices as part of national procedures, etc.);
- Conduct patent monitoring;
- Participate in awareness-raising and training initiatives on industrial property rights aimed at the academic community.
Occasional travel to the Amiens and Reims sites.
Your profile:

With a higher education degree in engineering sciences, such as an engineering degree or PhD, supplemented by a degree in intellectual property law (CEIPI with a specialization in patents), you have solid knowledge of:

Intellectual property legislation,
- As well as at least some of the following areas: optics, lasers, instrumentation, acoustics and waves, devices, physical models, signal processing, electronics, microelectronics, semiconductor physics, nanotechnologies

You have some initial practical experience in an industrial company or consulting firm (internships accepted). Knowledge of how public research works and who the key players in innovation are would be a plus.
- Finally, fluency in English is essential for this position.

Compensation: based on profile and experience.
