On December 12, 2016, the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, and Research launched the 19th edition of the National Competition to Support the Creation of Innovative Technology Companies – i-LAB section.
Created by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, and Research to promote the results of public research through business creation, i-LAB is open to anyone with an innovative business creation project with a strong technological component.
The grant intended to finance the research and development program for the finalization of the innovative technological product, process, or service can reach €450,000. The total amount of grants exceeds €12 million. Funding is provided mainly by the MENESR with a contribution from Bpifrance Financement.
Registration proceduresProjects, regardless of their stage of development, must involve the creation of a company based in France and using innovative technology.
Candidates must register online by completing the electronic application form, exclusively on the platform operated by Bpifrance, from Monday, December 12, 2016, to Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 12 noon.
