For its 7th edition, the FIEEC* Prize for Applied Research will be presented during the Rendez-vous Carnot event (Paris, October 18-19, 2017).
Three prizes (€10,000, €7,500, €5,000) will be awarded to academic researchers who have conducted a research partnership with an SME or mid-sized company that has had a real economic impact (increased revenue, job creation).
Application deadline: Monday, September 25 at 12 noon.
The research must have been in the following fields: electricity, electronics, digital technology, or mechanics.
Partner companies can belong to any sector of activity (in 2016, the SMEs and mid-cap companies involved belonged to the waste treatment, healthcare, and home automation sectors).
The FIEEC (Federation of Electrical, Electronic, and Communication Industries) brings together 22 professional unions and three associate members representing more than 3,000 companies, 86% of which are SMEs.
Through its Innovation Committee, chaired by Joseph Puzo, and its think tank Le Club Rodin, led by Bernard Bismuth, it created the Applied Research Award in 2011.
Funded by F2i – Fonds pour l’Innovation dans l’Industrie (Fund for Innovation in Industry), the FIEEC Applied Research Award is organized in partnership with the Association des instituts Carnot (Carnot Institutes Association), ANR, Bpifrance, CentraleSupélec, Axon’Cable, and Club Rodin.
