7 days to inspire innovation and promote the region's assets!
From November 21 to 27, 2016, research and innovation stakeholders in Hauts-de-France are mobilizing to promote the region's potential, but also to raise awareness and support regional entrepreneurs (project leaders, business leaders, students, employees) in developing or initiating innovative projects.
This Week is a first for the Hauts-de-France region, even though events dedicated to these themes have been held on both sides of the border. It is organized as part of the Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization (SRI-SI and S3) initiative, supported by the French government and the region. It is funded by the Region with significant support from Europe and ERDF funds.
Twenty-four events, organized across the greater region (in the Lille metropolitan area, Amiens, Dunkirk, Douai, Lens, Méaulte, Saint-Quentin, Valenciennes, Verneuil-en-Halatte, etc.) are already scheduled!
Among the topics that will be highlighted: cybersecurity in transportation, digital and interactive visual environments, INRIA Industries meetings, connected objects, creativity in management, virtual reality, economic intelligence, innovations in the agri-food, energy, and personal services sectors, and more.
A 24-hour super hackathon will be organized. And awards ceremonies will be held: the "Force Awards 2016 Hauts-de-France," which will honor the creation of partnerships between academic research and businesses; and the second edition of the "MOC Prize," which rewards student projects in the field of connected objects.
