SAS Pivert and SATT Nord join forces to accelerate the commercialization of research projects in the plant chemistry sector within the new Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie region.
SAS Pivert and SATT NORD recently signed a partnership agreement to pool their expertise and formalize their collaboration in order to enhance the value of academic research results in the field of plant chemistry. This partnership will enrich the intellectual property portfolios of the partners and, where appropriate, contribute to the emergence of new innovative companies.
SAS PIVERT, as part of the GENESYS program, and SATT Nord are working with laboratories from various institutions in the future greater Nord-Pas-de-Calais Picardie region. It was therefore natural for these two companies, created in 2012 as part of the PIA, to establish a partnership focusing on the promotion and (pre)maturation of technologies and the execution of service contracts.
For SAS PIVERT, which has formed a club of manufacturers who share a common goal of using plant chemistry as a lever for growth, this partnership enables it to offer a broader range of technologies (products and processes).
Christele Lorenzo, Head of Valorization and Legal Affairs, welcomes "this first partnership between initiatives from the Investissements d'Avenir program, which demonstrates both the relevance of SAS PIVERT's thematic positioning and the value of the maturation tools available at the BIOGIS Center."
For Stéphane Duez, Regional Director for Picardy, "this partnership will optimize the chances of promoting projects supported by either organization by leveraging their complementary strengths and thus combining efforts across a large region to boost the competitiveness of businesses and the visibility of laboratories."
With regard to valuation
- SAS PIVERT will be able to promote technologies from the SATT NORD patent portfolio in its field, in particular through the members of the SAS PIVERT Industrialists' Club (CIP). SATT NORD, for its part, will promote SAS PIVERT technologies for which one of the academic institutions within SATT NORD's scope holds part of the ownership and which have not been the subject of an exclusive expression of interest by a CIP member during the priority period reserved for them.
Regarding partnerships in (pre)maturation
- Partnerships in (pre)maturation projects involving SAS PIVERT technologies, in which one of the academic institutions within the SATT NORD scope holds partial ownership, or involving SATT NORD technologies.
With regard to benefits:
SATT Nord may use the BIOGIS Center's equipment as part of its service provision. Each partner will be able to benefit from the other's expertise in specific areas of technology.
