The SATT Network, CVT Aviesan, and Bpifrance launch a call for expressions of interest in medical devices

In order to stimulate and support innovative projects as effectively as possible and accelerate […]

In order to stimulate and support innovative projects and accelerate the transfer of technologies that will contribute to medical progress, CVT Aviesan and its members, Bpifrance, and the Technology Transfer Acceleration Companies are joining forces to launch a call for expressions of interest dedicated to innovative medical devices in the following sectors (excluding cancer and neurodegenerative diseases): dermatology, cardiovascular diseases, endocrinology, liver and biliary tract, lungs, digestive tract, urology and nephrology, bones and joints, nutrition and metabolism.

The partners in this initiative will share project feedback and analysis in order to create a forum for exchanging expertise and contacts, enabling projects to gradually mature and move towards industrial implementation. There are multiple objectives: to share a national overview, identify areas of complementarity, and be able to monitor, support, and finance projects in the field, working closely with the teams. An agreement guaranteeing the confidentiality of expressions of interest and exchanges that will take place during their processing has been signed by all the associated members (Réseau SATT, Bpifrance, Aviesan).

To generate new synergies, these partners want to combine project mapping with the expression of industrial and clinical needs. That is why the initiative is being carried out in two stages:

1- Starting July 1, 2015, and to gather project proposals, a call for proposals dedicated to academic teams and industrialists,

2- During the third quarter of 2015, and in order to identify needs, a call for proposals dedicated to clinical teams and manufacturers.

If you are an academic or industrial team and would like to submit a medical device project, please visit http://DM-PROJETS-satt-bpifrance.aviesan.fr (open from July1, 2015, to October 26, 2015, at midnight).
