The 14 French Technology Transfer Acceleration Companies, united in an association, announce the renewal of their board and the implementation of an ambitious action plan.

The creation of the SATT Network in April 2014 laid the foundations for a solid organization to promote the SATT model and its contribution to increasing French competitiveness. The SATT Network has enabled the 14 French SATTs to become key players and innovators in technology transfer within the French and European innovation ecosystem.

Building on this year of creation and action, the Réseau SATT association held its General Meeting on June 18, 2015, where it renewed its board and unanimously elected its new President, Norbert BENAMOU, President of SATT NORD.

The 14 SATTs also unanimously adopted an ambitious action plan based on three key areas:

Effectiveness of the valuation system in France

The SATT Network must work closely with the collective representation of its shareholders to identify solutions to further accelerate technology transfer from shareholder research institutions. The SATT Network is also committed to strengthening the development of fruitful collaborations with other players in innovation ecosystems.

Effectiveness of SATTs – Internal practices and pooling of resources

The association should be a place for SATTs to meet and exchange ideas with a view to mutual enrichment and the dissemination of best practices, thereby ensuring the highest quality of service from SATTs to businesses and laboratories.

Transfer effectiveness – improving relations with industry

More effective transfer requires greater visibility of consolidated technology offerings, particularly in industrial sectors of the future. The SATT Network has made this a key focus of its 2015-2016 strategic plan. Through the creation of a shared platform accessible at www.satt.fr, all SATTs are working together to simplify companies' access to the technological offerings of research institutions. Once the implementation phase is complete, a single entry point will provide access to all transfer opportunities.

The SATT network will also be committed to organizing high-profile events enabling companies to identify the technologies that will ensure their future success: Technomarket events, launched in 2014 by SATT Ouest Valorisation.

In light of these challenges and issues, the new president, Norbert Benamou, states that "After an initial launch and individual development phase in their respective territories, it is collectively that SATTs are advancing technology transfer in France."
