Force Awards Hauts de France and Entrepreneurial Researchers Challenges

November 19, 2018—Cité des échanges Marcq en Baroeul

This year, Chercheurs-Entrepreneurs Challenges and Force Awards Hauts-de-France are joining forces to encourage entrepreneurial projects and bring together academic research and the business world.

Researchers Entrepreneurs Challenges, organized since 2014 at the national level and supported by the AEF Info Group, the CNRS, and the National Network of Doctoral Colleges, reward business creation based on the research work of young doctors or more experienced researchers. It has three objectives: to encourage creation and transfer based on research, to promote the innovative capacity of these profiles to investors and companies, and to promote these entrepreneurial experiences within academic communities.

Force Awards Hauts-de-France encourages the creation of regional partnerships between academic research and businesses and, since 2015, has been recognizing exemplary initiatives and teams and candidates with remarkable innovative projects with awards.

On November 19, 2018, a unique event sponsored by Octave Klaba, OVH will bring together the first Hauts-de-France final of the Chercheurs-Entrepreneurs Challenges and the Hauts-de-France Force Awards. Five prizes of at least €3,000 each will be awarded.

These are:

  • Doc'Force, which rewards a thesis written in collaboration with a company,
  • Doctors-Entrepreneurs, aimed at doctors or doctoral students with an entrepreneurial project,
  • Force Partners, which recognizes a partnership project between academic research and regional businesses,
  • Start-up Connection, which is for researchers who have already created their start-up,

The Grand Jury Prize, presented by Octave Klaba, will once again recognize one of the four previous prizes.

This event, supported by the Hauts-de-France Region, will take place as part of the Regional Innovation Meetings. It is also supported by SATT Nord, I-Site Université Lille Nord Europe, regional higher education and research institutions, and stakeholders from the socio-economic world.
